Copy a Resource Structure
Follow these steps to create a new resource structure from an existing one. This copy process also creates copies of the related calendar and rate structures and any user defined codes or fields for the resource structure.
- Select in the Navigation Menu. The Manage Resources tab window displays.
- Click the dropdown in the Ribbon Menu and then click . A Copy Resource Structure dialog box displays. Select the resource structure you want to copy using the dropdown and click .
- The Copy Resource Structure dialog box updates to display a list of the related structures and any user defined codes or fields for the resource structure you selected.
- For each column line item, enter the new name in the column.
- Click in the dialog box. The Manage Resources tab window updates to display the content of the resource structure you just created.

Tip:
You may also want to update the descriptions for the related calendar and rate structures.
- Optional. If you are setting up a new global resource structure projects can share, click the check box so it is enabled.

Click in the Ribbon Menu.
Tips:
If you have checked the Global check box, once you click Save in the Ribbon Menu, the Global check boxes are automatically set for the related calendar and rate structures.
You can change the Global setting at any time. Simply uncheck the Global check box and click Save in the Ribbon Menu. This clears the Global settings for the resource structures as well as the related calendar and rate structures.
- Optional. Close the Manage Resources tab.
